Outcome: Learning through travel can even be applied to kids who miss school because of trips with parents (or other) as those kids can be assigned work instead of the classwork that is relevant to their trip and can be beneficial to the whole class including the teacher.
Ex: Kid goes to business trip with his father and can be asked to do math oriented research and work related to his father's work and share it with the algebra class when he returns.
Effects of Active Traveling

What I learned: Traveling promotes physical activity which has a positive effect on your physical and mental health.

What I learned: Traveling creates memories which are irreplaceable. It also allows you to disconnect from your daily life which is actually very beneficial as when you disconnect you also feel the need for re connection which allows you to appreciate your house and family more.
THINK Global School

Reflection: I had previously been introduced to the THINK Global School and their website but back then I wasn't really interested in them because I didn't really know where my research was heading. But now after thoroughly exploring their website and reading what you see in the image above, I have had a change of mindset and a change of heart about them. THINK Global School and what they aspire to do is exactly what I am trying to write about in my research, in fact they are a perfect example of what schools should become like in my opinion. My mindset was changed when I realized that like them (TGS), it is possible to be academic by having hedonistic trips instead of what I proposed in my research which was to seek more of the fun trips and forget about academics. I am currently in the process of writing an email I can send out to the school so that I could have a member of their school tell me about their experiences and answer some of my questions.
Does intrinsic motivation fuel the prosocial fire?
MLA Citation: Grant, Adam M. "Does intrinsic motivation fuel the prosocial fire? Motivational synergy in predicting persistence, performance, and productivity." Journal of applied psychology 93.1 (2008): 48.
Reflection: Articles like these are what allowed me to expand my knowledge on intrinsic motivations and they have greatly helped me with my research as I have used them plenty of times to back up my claims.
What moves us?
MLA Citation:Mokhtarian, Patricia L., Ilan Salomon, and Matan E. Singer. "What moves us? An interdisciplinary exploration of reasons for traveling." Transport Reviews 35.3 (2015): 250-274.
Reflection: This is the main article which I used for my first 5 pages of research as it provided me with information about why people traveled and introduced me to the concept of intrinsically and extrinsically motivated people.
